Different images each week/month?

Postby ColinSMiles » Sat Oct 11, 2014 5:13 pm

I joined as a result of the Sky at Night offer and am pleased with what I have been able to achieve so far. However, I had hoped to be able to image less popular objects and I now realise that due to the way everything works at present, this is not likely to happen, or be practical.

So would it be possible for Bradford to offer an interesting and less well-known weekly/fortnightly or monthly object for which time to be made available, possibly allowing us to choose the parameters?

Hi Colin,

While it is true that if many users request images of the same object the telescope is more likely to spend time imaging that, and it's also true that higher altitude jobs are favoured, it should still be possible to image anything you want, it will just take longer. We do feature an object on the main page which means you are more likely to receive images of it (purely because more people request it) but they are not necessarily "less well-known".
