Are Observations Happening Again?

Forgive me if I'm asking for old news, here. I haven't been to the site in months, and maybe I'm behind the times. But are observations happening right now? I see that changes have been made to the requests page, and some of the other topics on these forums seem to indicate that observations are hap...

Re: subs

I'll keep paying as long as they want to keep offering the service... When it comes down to it, the amount that we pay for this subscription really isn't much, and I can't pay for dark skies here. The light pollution where I live is abysmal, and I can't afford a gigantic scope, so the BRT lets me se...

Re: Community research publications

From the point of view of two frivolous users, (and I'll wholeheartedly admit to being in that category) the BRT is a godsend. I first started using the site when testing out it's applicability for my father, who has been a lifelong lover of space observation. He passed that love on to me, and we've...

Re: Other Internet telescopes

I've tried about all of them in this price range, and I hate to say it, but I've been pretty disappointed everywhere but here. I'm sure you'd get some good images from the ones that make you pay by the hour, but I've never had quite that much cash to fork over to test it out. Not when I'm saving up ...

Re: Show discription and/or comment of a job.

Maybe a sticky forum thread could be started for stuff like this. "Observations of Unnamed Objects" or similar, and everyone can add their job numbers to it? It would make the list searchable as well.

Just a thought :)

Re: Starting our suggestions

Don't know if this will still be helpful or not, since it's been a while since you posted, but the thing that I found most helpful was watching the job que and seeing what others were requesting, and checking out the gallery to see what setitngs others had used. I was able to learn a lot that way, a...

RA DEC observing for dummies?

Hello, Everyone, I'm hoping someone can give me a little more information about RA Dec coordinates and why they may or may not work for observing with the BRT. I'm a total noob when it comes to using coordinates to find things, I've only ever observed named or cataloged objects. I recently stumbled ...

Sorting Suggestion

Hello! One thing that I like to do with the images that I get is to get several different images and combine in photoshop to get the best possible image, then hang them in my home. One thing that would make it a bit easier for me would be the ability to sort in my request list, sorting by name of ob...
